Comments: Congratulations on your success at keeping the school open. For many reasons Shell Lake School has a special place in my heart and it was pure joy to hear it was saved from closure. I know how much commitment it takes to keep a small school going and you should be very proud. May you all remember to be vigilant in the future as the struggle will no doubt come again

Comments: Congratulations to all the folks who rallied to save Shell Lake School from the Sask. Rivers School District's list of proposed school closures. All the hard work did pay off! I too sent an email to the board office voicing my dismay at the thought of losing the school. It is good to know that the students will be able to remain part of their own community, instead of being bussed to another and thereby perhaps not really fitting into either.
