Nice to read a little bit of history from the town where my mother Jean Verna Magee was born. She was the daughter of Harris Fenton Magee and Lottie Mae Wright. Would love to correspond with anyone knowing the family or having history they would like to share! Also, not that far away, I am also searching for anyone who knew the Matthews clan - in particular, George Matthews - son of Alexander Matthews and Mary Jane Bailey, (both Alexander and Mary Jane are buried in the General Cemetery in Lestock) who married Jessie McKay - daughter of Edward McKay and Jessie Muggaberg! I am trying to piece together our family history! thank-you and nice site! |
