Comments: "I'm very honored that the Spirit of the Northern Lakes magazine has once again used Memorial Lake to display on their front page. It is one of the photos of the beach that I took last year and also on the inside cover on the Table of Contents page - those are my girls in the tube. :-) Memorial Lake Park had also used my photos on the back page in their add as well. It's so wonderful to see Memorial Lake/Shell Lake be so exposed in this way. A number of my photos have been used again this year in the magazine. That is very exciting for me, for the town and for the park. Unfortunately because of miscommunication, my name was not posted next to the pictures. That happens at times but it is unfortunate. My family loves coming to Memorial Lake/Shell Lake during all the seasons. It's a wonderful place of quietness, to get away and relax and we love the beauty of the area. We love getting to know many wonderful people up there and developing friendships. I love to take pictures up there. :-) That is definitely a passion of mine, a gift given to me from God. I love to use that gift to share His creation with others. I share a number of my personal life stories and photography on my website www.lisas-pics.blogspot.com so feel free to check it out anytime."
Name: Lorna Boryski (Simonar) Comments: Calling all students from the Class of '81!!!!! Amazing - but it's been 25 years since we finished school!!!! Have been chatting with a few classmates and we were hoping that it might be possible to have an `unorganized' Reunion this summer. Just sit around the campfire and sing "Wasn't that a Party!!!" (Sound familiar?!?!) No big organization - just show up!!! You will all be in charge of buying your own burgers!!! So, anyone that was in our class any year (or more) from Grade 1 (1969) to Graduation (1981), Please drop one of us a line. If there is enough interest - we can set up a website for everyone to post and read each others' happenings...who will attend, who won't...etc..... Hope to hear from all of you soon!!!

Comments: I have just read the June/06 Shell Lake newsletter. It brought back so many memories - I can't believe it's that many years since I went to school in Shell Lake! It's been a long time since I heard of Memorial Hill. I remember being able to see the cross from my classroom window when I was in Grade X.
