Shell Lake Community Hi-litesSweethearts' Supper on February 14/09 at the Shell Lake Lions Hall. There will be a delicious meal prepared by the Parnters in Worship Ladies and entertainment by "Take Note" from Medstead who are a versatile group of women who sing and perform. 50th Wedding Anniversary Dine & Dance at the Shell Lake Lions Hall January 3, 2009, for Ralph & Perle Stephenson. Everyone welcome!
Open Bonspiel - January 21-25.
There will be a Pancake Breakfast on Saturday morning January 24 at the curling rink sponsored by the Minor Sports. There will also be a Beef Supper Saturday January 24 at the curling rink.
Ladies Bonspiel - February 27 - March 1.
Regular schedule curling will begin on January 7/09. All persons interested in curling please come at 7 p.m. for registration and from there we will decide on a good evening for everyone. Call Kim 427-4907, Shan 427-4712 or Joy 427-4749 for information.
Learn to Curl / Youth Curling will begin in January for all students. Contact Joy so we can choose a day that works for everyone. We hope to have more games with other communities again this year.
We are still in need of volunteers to help with the snow removal and the flooding.

The Legion Christmas party was held on December 18. Thanks to all who joined us for a lovely supper, catered to by Lakeland Diner. It was delicious , Debbie!

Daniel (Danny) Brezden passed away on December 3/08 at the age of 62 years. Danny will be lovingly remembered by his sister Mary Anne of Shell Lake and brother Donnie of Shell Lake.
