Mayor's Monthly Update

Thanks to Kurt Reed for the hours of snow removal in the past few weeks. Kurt has moved a great deal of snow using both the village grader and his own tractor and equipment. Note that the village is not responsible for clearing your private driveways; you need to make your own arrangements.

Secondly, to make garbage pick-up more efficient, place in appropriate garbage bags. All garbage for pick-up needs to be bagged, if it can't be bagged, it should not be placed for pick-up.

Please note the posted office closures and council meeting changes for the month of February.

Village of Echo Bay

The residents of the resort Village of Echo Bay take this opportunity to thank Brent Brewer for helping us out on January 12 when he took time off from his chores to come and plough out the village roads to give us at least a trail so we could get out. Also a big thanks to Gerald Proulx and the R.M of Spiritwood for completing the difficult task of grading our roads.

We would like to welcome Mr. & Mrs. Larry Rush to Echo Bay. They arrived this fall from Calgary to become permanent residents of Echo Bay just in time for the "Mother of All Saskatchewan Winter Storms." Welcome to Shell Lake and Echo Bay communities Larry and Shan. We know just how tough the Alberta people really are, right.

Residents of Echo Bay also at this time pass on to the family and friends of Mr. Stu Uzelman our sincere condolences on the unexpected and sudden passing of Stu this past Dec.

It meant a lot to us to know that you took time out of your busy schedules to be concerned about us. With the passing of husband and father. We really appreciated the support we have received including the cards, food, flowers and attendance at the funeral.
