Vacation Bible School
August 11-15, 9 _11::30 a.m. at Partners in Worship. Stories, songs, crafts and games. Children of all ages welcome. Parents of young children are encouraged to attend. For information call Sandra at 427-2275.

PWWA are having a Bake Sale and "Fry Bread" at the Church on Sat. August 30th from 2:00 to 4:00. Come and enjoy!
The committee which consists of - Donna Strate, Michelle Francoeur, Pat Funk, Flo Mierke, Jody Brockwell, Jane Prosser and Carol Francoeur would like to thank everyone who supported the July 1st. celebrations. The fireworks were sponsored by Tourism and the Memorial Lake Park Board. Thank you to Anita Weiers for the cake and Frank Zawada for the flags. A special thank you to John Morrow for supplying the entertainment for the evening.
Thank you also to all who helped make Hey Days a successful event! Special thanks to Ed Simonar for using his sound system, all the organizations / businesses for entering their floats, and all the committees / businesses who sponsored events.

We are an all new committee so you may notice changes in how things have been done this summer. We would appreciate input from the community with suggestions and ideas. We are open to any and all ideas you may have so give one of the committee members a call!
The seniors golf tourney is scheduled for August 28th. Posters are in the making and will soon be up.
Our Annual Golfspiel has been postponed until next year we are unable to reschedule. Hope to see you all next year!

Mass at our Ladys of Smiles on Saturday evenings at 9 p.m for the summer months.
Church service at 10:30. There is no Sunday School until September.
Neve Paisley was born July 1/08 weighing 7 lbs 15 oz. to Chris and Robin Lafond. Neve is a sister for Amy and Sophie.
Emmett Claude weighing 8 lbs. 14 oz. was born on July 19/08 to Claude and Angie Denis. Emmett is a brother for Charlie, a grandson for Ron and Donna Strate and a great grandson for Esther Strate and Verner and Phyllis Johnson.
Paul Kennel passed away on July 6, 2008 at the age of 81. His passing is mourned by his wife of 60 years, Wilma; his children, Galen (Rebecca), Pamela Smith (John), and Donald (Jill); and his grandchildren, Sara and Mark Kennel.
Irvin Dermont passed away on July 24th, 2008 at the age of 67. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Elaine, his children,Lisa Kloeble (Barry), Shaunna Gervais(Jason), Derek Dermont (Louise) and 11 grandchildren. Irvin and Elaine were residents of Shell Lake and Memorial Lake, he will be missed.
Thank you to everyone who brought food to our house, sent cards, flowers , plants, and lent their shoulders for me to cry on, or anything else that was needed at this very sad time in our lives, thank you so much. Your kindness and thoughtfulness did not go unnoticed.
