I would like to thank my exceptional neighbours at Echo Bay for all the help they have given me during my time of recovery. Having surgery in middle of winter does bring with it many instances that require help. I received much appreciated help in the form of keeping my drive way passable this winter, and water jugs lifted when required. Thanks to Irwin Wilson, Ernie Rawlyk, Gene Belyk and Jim Fergussen. It was greatly appreciated by Anne and myself that you were readily available. I should also add that the residents of the Resort Village of Echo Bay appreciate the efforts of these community conscious residents that have kept our roads passable until the R. M grader could get down here. Special thanks to Irwin Wilson, for keeping a skating surface clear on the marina for all residents to use. Its amazing what these four fellows could accomplish with their quads and a snow blade, all because they wanted something to do on a winter day. I thank you . Doug Wilson

Name: mike Sutherland Comments: this site has been very helpful to me for i am no place near Shell lake and still like to be informed wats happin'n mike~ Name: Alice Willick Comments: I have just received the Shell Lake newsletter via the internet for the first time, and I must congratulate Carol Francoeur on such a fine job. I attended high school in Shell Lake back in the '50s under the capable guidance of the late Mr. Len LaBrash. I have been away from Shell Lake for many years now but still occasionally make it back for a visit. I was fascinated by the "history" of Shell Lake back in the 1930-41 era. Sounds like those were the days! |
